Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) has the most advanced research centers and institutes of physiological and social sciences in China. Since its establishment, it has published over 4,293 books, 54,517 papers, 7,268 surveys and research reports, 2,787 translated books, and 16,108 translated papers, and engaged in large amount of collation, emendation and annotation of ancient books and in compilation of various reference books and popular readings. CASS, in average, publishes 300 books, 3,890 peer reviewed papers, and 510 reports each year.
